What running taught me about writing

You might not want to, but you'll probably feel better if you do.

Unused muscles atrophy.

You just may be better at it than you give yourself credit for.

Self doubt is defeating.

Sometimes you gotta push through that shit - or at least hang on til the end.

If you hurt yourself, it's not an excuse to quit. You still gotta stretch, or something, man, unless it's dire.

If it's dire, it's okay to give yourself a break.

It's okay to be proud of your accomplishments. Just don't be an annoying braggart.

The accomplishments make everything else seem better.

You can do it anywhere.

It's a solitary sport - even IF you're in a group.

You'll always crave that pat on the back, and that's okay. It's normal.
