Nostalgia and stasis

I'm going back home to Missouri (round the Ozarks) in mid June, to see my parents. It is their 50th wedding anniversary, and that's amazing to me. They were high school sweet hearts.

This may seem strange to say, but I'm more excited about going than I would expect. Not because I don't love my parents and want to see them. Life, writing and not worrying.

 Here I sit at the day job, typing on my shiny baby, Sezzy Eddie. I've done some good writing since adopting Eddie. Some in a coffee shop-- oh so cliche but effective-- and some at home. I've also done a lot of not writing and I'm not sorry, nor am I worried. Why? Because I've been out living life, exploring this state (and the one south) that I live in.
