How these papers have been placed in sequence will be made manifest in the reading of them. All needless matters have been eliminated, so that a history almost at a variance with the possibilities of later-day belief may stand forth as simple fact. There is throughout no statement of past things wherein memory may err, for all the records chosen are exactly contemporary, given from the standpoints and within the range of knowledge of those who made them.

In honor of Halloween, and the inspiration for many stories, I am going to re-read Dracula.

Do you have any traditions, or some you'd like to start? Because there is always that first time...

Have you read Dracula? Do you recall your first impressions of it?

I'm also, I think, going to finally dip into my Varney the Vampire collection, also known as The Feast of Blood. Collected, it's about 1,500 pages... But he is older than the Count, and so...
