It's a new dawn, a new day...

Well, then. That 27 days I'd mentioned in my last post got to about 16 before there was one last spat at my old job...and I walked out.

I did, in fact, attempt to do the right thing and work the two weeks notice route, but I was turned down! Hah!

But all was well, as I literally walked out of the 7 and right into Spin's, where Spin himself had me sit down at lunch with them and give'em the gossip. I said I have no job, now. He said well, yes you do, you can start cutting now instead of two weeks from now.

And there were have it. I kept thinking that perhaps I should've been worried, freaking in some way, about money or whatever. But I haven't. Not in the weeks I was waiting, and not when I started, officially, at Spin's, which was on Saturday. I have followed my gut, and not once has it screamed at me that I'm making a mistake. I haven't felt that I won't be okay. I think I will be.

Besides; I'm my OWN BOSS NOW. I cannot express how wonderful it is to be told that I can do whatever I want, short of, oh, making drugs in the back. ~wink wink~ My own hours, my own books, my own money. This does mean I have to learn a new tax system, but I's not without skillz.

I have my own business cards, my own coupons I made, all kinds of things. I've been very excited. I already had 6 new people in a couple days. Every new one counts towards my growing client list.

And best of all, I wrote at work yesterday. Yes, I'm still writing. I am so much more relaxed and so comfortable in this new shop, that I felt like whipping out the laptop and going for it.

Ramble ramble.

Do I ever stop and think about money and getting enough this first few weeks? Sure. But I am not panicked.

Yes, it's a new dawn, a new day, a new world. And that is all for today. Got some writing to do. Already had the 3 mile run. Which is another thing I'm kicking back up a notch. Longer runs...4 in a row, now, at 3 miles...
